Isar Aerospace has reached a major milestone with Spectrum, its launcher achieving orbit on its second flight. The result gives concrete form to the rise of a new generation of European space companies that can combine technology, capital and industrial capacity at scale.
The Bavarian startup is already moving beyond the test phase: five additional launchers are currently in production, and the company has built a factory designed to support a much larger ramp-up. Between Bavaria and Norway, Isar Aerospace is positioning itself as part of a broader European space ambition, with the infrastructure and industrial setup needed to change scale.
