The Swedish scale-up Tandem Health has closed an €86.5 million Series B round led by EQT’s Scaleup Europe Fund. Beyond the size of the financing, the deal signals a strategic shift: after automating medical documentation, Tandem now wants to move upstream and downstream of the consultation itself.
The company’s ambition is to become more than a “medical scribe.” It aims to intervene before, during and after patient visits, evolving toward what it describes as a clinical operating system. That broader positioning puts Tandem in direct competition in France with Nabla, another player pursuing AI-driven clinical workflow tools.
The funding underscores investor confidence in a category that is expanding from note-taking and transcription into end-to-end clinical assistance, with Tandem seeking to embed itself deeper into the physician workflow.
