Emitech GNSS, the satellite geolocation testing and validation subsidiary of the Emitech group, has inaugurated new facilities in Ramonville, near Toulouse. The move is a strategic expansion designed to increase its technical capacity and embed itself within a key regional ecosystem, responding to surging demand for reliable positioning solutions across sectors like aerospace, defense, and autonomous vehicles.
The new 1,200-square-meter site, located in close proximity to the French space agency CNES, significantly boosts the accredited (Cofrac) laboratory's testing capabilities. It features state-of-the-art equipment, including advanced anechoic chambers and a dedicated "GNSS Heaven" platform. This platform can simulate complex, real-world signal environments—such as urban canyons or interference scenarios—allowing clients to rigorously validate the resilience and accuracy of their navigation systems.
"This relocation and expansion are a direct response to strong market growth," explained a company representative. "Proximity to the CNES ecosystem and other aerospace players in Toulouse is a major asset for collaboration and innovation." The investment underscores the critical importance of independent testing and certification as industries from automotive to drones increasingly rely on robust, secure, and precise satellite positioning technology.
