Following its acquisition of La Tournée, French beverage delivery startup Le Fourgon is accelerating its European expansion with launches in Belgium and Spain. The company, which specializes in same-day delivery of craft beers, wines, and artisanal spirits, aims to establish operations in Brussels and Madrid by the end of 2024.
This move comes shortly after Le Fourgon finalized the purchase of its Parisian competitor La Tournée in April, a strategic acquisition that strengthened its market position in France and provided a springboard for international growth. Founded in 2017, Le Fourgon has raised a total of €13 million to date, including a €10 million Series A round in 2022 led by Olma Fund and supported by historical investors like Thibault Poutrel and Julien Callede.
The expansion targets two key markets. Belgium, with its strong beer culture, represents a natural fit, while Spain offers significant growth potential in the wine and spirits sector. The company will replicate its asset-light, partner-driven model, collaborating with local producers and utilizing third-party logistics, rather than establishing its own warehouses.
CEO and co-founder Thibault Poutrel emphasized that the goal is to build a pan-European leader in beverage delivery. "Our ambition is to become the European reference for the delivery of craft drinks," he stated, noting that the La Tournée integration is proceeding smoothly and has already improved service density in Paris.
Le Fourgon currently partners with over 400 producers and delivers more than 3,000 artisanal products. With the new launches, the company will operate in four countries: France, Belgium, Spain, and Germany, where it has been present since 2023. The focus remains on rapid, reliable delivery—often within two hours—catering to both individual consumers and professional clients like bars and restaurants.
