The European semiconductor and Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) community will convene in Helsinki on 2–3 December 2026 for EFECS 2026, to be held at the Messukeskus Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. The forum will gather stakeholders from across Europe’s semiconductor and ECS ecosystem to discuss the technologies, policies and industrial strategies shaping the continent’s competitiveness and resilience.

This edition will run under the theme “Semiconductors at the crossroads: political power, industrial strategies and economic growth,” underscoring the sector’s growing strategic importance for Europe. The programme is expected to include high-level keynote speeches and panel discussions on semiconductor policy, industrial resilience, innovation and Europe’s strategic ambitions, alongside insights into the evolving European semiconductor landscape and its future priorities.

EFECS 2026 will also serve as a major networking platform, bringing together industry leaders, SMEs, research organisations, policy makers and public authorities. In addition to the main conference, a broader week of ecosystem activities is planned, with side events, workshops, meetings and networking opportunities before and after the forum.
