Xecs, the Eureka Cluster for Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) operated by AENEAS, has opened its 2026 funding calls, inviting international R&D consortia to develop and commercialise next-generation technologies. Organisations across the ECS value chain — including SMEs, large companies, research institutes, and universities — can now submit proposals through two distinct tracks.

Xecs Call 6 remains the annual bottom-up programme for collaborative innovation. Its Project Outline deadline is 21 January 2027, with Full Proposals due 15 April 2027. The newly launched Xecs Quantum Call is the cluster’s first thematic call, targeted exclusively at accelerating the industrialisation and commercialisation of quantum technologies. For this track, the Project Outline deadline is 26 November 2026, and Full Proposals must be submitted by 5 March 2027. Both calls offer participants access to national and regional public funding, opportunities to build international partnerships, and support for technology transfer and industrial deployment.

To facilitate consortium formation, Xecs is organising a matchmaking event in Vienna, accessible via the AENEAS Events Platform. There, potential applicants can discuss project ideas, identify complementary expertise, and assemble international teams capable of taking innovations from concept to market.
