VivaTech is entering its final preparations for a landmark 10th-anniversary edition, set for May 22-25 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The event, co-founded by Publicis Groupe and *Les Échos*, is expanding its footprint to 45,000 square meters and expects over 150,000 visitors from 120 countries.
A major new feature is the extension of the event to the Champs-Élysées. On May 23, the avenue will host "VivaTech La Défense Arena," a public showcase of French and European tech innovations, including demonstrations of flying cars and humanoid robots. This off-site activation aims to broaden public engagement beyond the core exhibition halls.
The anniversary program will also introduce the "VivaTech Awards," described as the "Oscars of Tech." This global competition will feature 1,200 startups across nine categories, with winners announced during the event. A highlight of the opening ceremony will be a keynote from French swimming champion and Olympic medalist Léon Marchand, who will discuss performance, technology, and AI.
Reflecting its growth, VivaTech 2024 has secured significant partnerships, with LVMH returning as the main partner and Accenture joining as the first-ever global consulting partner. The startup roster has expanded to 2,500 exhibitors, including dedicated pavilions for Japan (the country of the year) and the Netherlands. The agenda will focus heavily on artificial intelligence, featuring dedicated stages and forums on its transformative impact across industries.
