Minalogic, the digital innovation cluster for France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, has launched a structured decarbonization program to help digital SMEs tackle growing regulatory and market pressure to reduce their carbon footprint. The offer is designed to be pragmatic, rapidly actionable, and subsidizable, directly addressing the common barriers of limited time, resources, and in-house expertise.

The three-stage pathway begins with a free online pre-diagnosis, followed by a strategic diagnosis co-constructed with a consultant to produce a tailored action plan, priced at €1,500. A final, customized implementation-support phase is quoted on request. Two firms, ABGi and Inddigo, were selected via a call for expressions of interest to deliver the entire program. Participants can tap into regional, national, or European aid schemes to offset costs.

The program is adapted to the specific levers of different digital SME profiles: component manufacturers focus on energy and industrial emissions; integrators on process optimization and responsible sourcing; software developers on eco-design and efficient digital resource management. Initially, the emphasis is on energy performance, leveraging existing public funding instruments to help companies meet the expectations of clients and funders while aligning with national greenhouse gas reduction targets.

“The market is evolving in such a way that companies can no longer afford to ignore this. Offering them a simple, digital-specific program with access to subsidies will clearly be an incentive,” said Jérôme de Parscau, Minalogic’s Decarbonization Referent and program coordinator.

The initiative fits into Minalogic’s broader ecological transition strategy, which simultaneously champions innovative technologies that lower industry’s carbon footprint and supports firms in structuring their own environmental efforts. Two specialized firms, ABGi and Inddigo, have been selected through a call for expressions of interest for their ability to cover the entire program.
