The European Digital Innovation Hub MinaSmart, launched in 2023 and co-funded by the EU, has reached its halfway mark with strong early results in driving digital transformation among SMEs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The three-year project is coordinated by Minalogic, which leads a 13-member consortium, manages governance, and ensures smooth execution. Minalogic’s central position in the regional innovation ecosystem enables the consortium to pinpoint SME needs, mobilize stakeholders across strategic sectors, and promote expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and high-performance computing (HPC).

Since launch, the project has rolled out concrete services with measurable uptake: over 10 “Smart Awareness” webinars on AI and cybersecurity have drawn several hundred participants; 17 cybersecurity diagnostics (“Smart Diag”) were performed for regional SMEs, a new service introduced under MinaSmart; 6 SMEs received support for AI, cybersecurity, or HPC technology transfer projects; innovation project proposals supported rose sharply to 45 from a pre-MinaSmart baseline of 18; and 12 companies were guided in accessing public and private funding. These figures demonstrate significant progress in strengthening both Minalogic’s service portfolio and the capabilities of local SMEs.

The midterm evaluation by the European Commission commended the project for its strong management, the active and expert engagement of all partners, and a well-structured, relevant service offering—recognizing the consortium’s strategic value and reinforcing Minalogic’s role as a key driver of regional digital transformation. Over the remaining two years, the initiative aims to deepen partner collaboration, broaden its reach, and deliver even greater impact for the region’s SMEs.
