Nexperia, the Dutch semiconductor group owned by China’s Wingtech, has partnered with U.S.-based foundry Polar Semiconductor to produce a new generation of power MOSFETs, with manufacturing slated for the United States. The devices are aimed at high-growth sectors including artificial intelligence, robotics, and automotive. The announcement comes as Nexperia remains embroiled in an ongoing conflict with its parent company, Wingtech.

Polar Semiconductor, which operates entirely on U.S. soil, will fabricate the MOSFETs, a move that allows Nexperia to offer domestically sourced components to American customers amid tightening supply-chain scrutiny. The partnership targets surging demand for efficient power management in AI data centers, industrial robotics, and electric vehicles, significantly reducing Nexperia’s reliance on Asian production.
