French biotech startup The Element is pioneering an implantable medical device designed to deliver continuous hydrogen therapy. The core innovation leverages hydrogen's potent and selective antioxidant properties, which research suggests can slow neuronal degeneration.

The device, currently in development, aims to provide a sustained, controlled release of hydrogen directly into the body. This approach targets chronic conditions where oxidative stress plays a key role, particularly neurodegenerative diseases.
