Israeli fabless semiconductor company Polyn Technology and Alter Technology France are joining forces to establish a shared laboratory in Toulouse. The facility will focus on validating Polyn’s next-generation neuromorphic processors, which target embedded artificial intelligence applications. By pooling expertise, the partners aim to accelerate the industrial qualification of these chips and shorten their path to market.

Polyn Technology, founded in 2019, develops brain‑inspired neuromorphic circuits designed for ultra‑low‑power AI inference at the edge. Alter Technology France, part of the Alter Technology group, brings specialized capabilities in electronic component testing, qualification, and engineering services for demanding industries such as aerospace, defence, and automotive. The Toulouse lab will put Polyn’s chips through rigorous validation workflows necessary for mass‑market deployment, including functional, environmental, and reliability tests.

The collaboration highlights the growing need for dedicated test infrastructure as neuromorphic computing moves from R&D to commercial readiness. By co‑locating test resources, Polyn can iterate faster on design improvements while leveraging Alter’s established quality assurance frameworks and market access. For the French ecosystem, the lab reinforces Toulouse’s position as a hub for advanced semiconductor validation in Europe.
