Summary
The European Commission is launching a new series of remote webinars to help Horizon Europe applicants and beneficiaries across the full lifecycle—from proposal preparation to grant implementation and financial reporting. Sessions will cover topics including innovation procurement, grant agreement preparation and management, common financial errors, and lump-sum funding, with upcoming dates from 2 September to 12 November 2026. The initiative is designed to improve compliance and proposal quality, reducing implementation risk and helping organisations better access and execute Horizon Europe funding.

The European Commission is launching a new webinar series to help Horizon Europe applicants and beneficiaries navigate both proposal preparation and project delivery. The sessions are aimed at organisations already involved in the programme, as well as those planning to apply, and will cover practical topics including innovation procurement, funding opportunities, grant management, financial reporting and lump sum funding.

The schedule begins on 2 September 2026 with “Reinforcing synergies between experimentation spaces and innovation procurement” (10:00–12:00 CEST), which will explore how experimentation spaces and procurement can be combined to accelerate the development and adoption of innovative solutions. On 16 September, a session on “Avoiding the most common financial errors when implementing Horizon Europe projects” (10:00–11:30 CEST) will focus on helping beneficiaries spot and prevent frequent financial mistakes during project execution.

Two “Horizon Implementation Day” webinars follow: “Finding opportunities and submitting a proposal” on 24 September 2026 (09:30–12:30 CEST), covering how to identify relevant funding calls and prepare a successful submission; and “Grant Agreement Preparation” on 8 October 2026 (09:30–12:45 CEST), which will walk successful applicants through the main steps and requirements for setting up a Horizon Europe Grant Agreement. A third implementation-focused session, “Grant Management,” is scheduled for 15 October 2026 (09:30–13:00 CEST) and will address key responsibilities and practical requirements for managing grants effectively.

The series concludes on 12 November 2026 with “Lump Sum Funding in Horizon Europe: How does it work and how do you write a proposal?” (10:00–12:00 CET), a dedicated webinar for applicants and beneficiaries involved in, or expecting to join, lump sum grants. It will explain how the model works and how to build a strong proposal under this funding approach.

Most sessions are remote and require no registration. The AENEAS community is being encouraged to make use of the webinars and share the information with colleagues and other relevant contacts across their organisations and networks.

La Commission européenne lance une nouvelle série de webinaires pour accompagner les candidats et bénéficiaires de Horizon Europe, de la préparation des propositions à la mise en œuvre des projets, avec des thèmes comme les marchés publics d’innovation, la gestion des subventions, le reporting financier et le financement en forfait. Les sessions prévues entre septembre et novembre 2026 incluent notamment des formats “Horizon Implementation Day” (opportunités et dépôt, préparation de l’accord de subvention, gestion de projet) et un webinaire dédié au fonctionnement et à la rédaction des demandes pour les subventions en lump sum. L’impact attendu est de fournir des conseils pratiques pour réduire les erreurs financières et améliorer la qualité des dossiers et la conformité opérationnelle des projets.
