Training Cluster as a Service,初期可提供 8 张 A100 或 H100 GPU 的实例。

Summary
NVIDIA is confirmed to acquire Hugging Face for about $13 billion, building on a long-standing partnership across AI infrastructure and open science. The companies already collaborated on integrating NVIDIA’s DGX Cloud (including H100/H200 GPU access via DGX Cloud Lepton marketplace) and on robotics, with NVIDIA technologies feeding into Hugging Face’s LeRobot framework and services like Isaac Lab/Teleop. The deal is expected to deepen NVIDIA’s platform reach for training and inference while strengthening Hugging Face’s ecosystem, including joint work on code models such as StarCoder2 under the BigCode initiative.

NVIDIA’s acquisition of Hugging Face for roughly $13 billion comes as little surprise: the two companies had already built a dense partnership across infrastructure, robotics and open science.

On the infrastructure side, the relationship effectively began in summer 2023, when NVIDIA announced that its DGX Cloud compute platform would be integrated into Hugging Face. The initial plan was to offer a Training Cluster as a Service, starting with access to 8-GPU A100 or H100 instances. A service quickly appeared under the name Training Cluster, and it also provided access to Trainium nodes.

That offering still exists, but in a different form introduced in 2025: it now relies exclusively on NVIDIA GPUs, specifically H100 and H200, rented from four cloud providers through the DGX Cloud Lepton marketplace. In March 2024, Hugging Face also launched Train on DGX Cloud, an on-demand service giving access to H100 instances billed by the minute. It was accessible from model pages as an alternative to Amazon SageMaker, but was discontinued in April 2025. Around mid-2024, Hugging Face added a complementary NIM API for serverless inference; that service was also shut down in April 2025 and replaced by Inference Providers, introduced a few weeks earlier.

The partnership deepened in robotics at the end of 2024, when NVIDIA and Hugging Face announced that NVIDIA technologies would be integrated into Hugging Face’s LeRobot framework. This included Isaac Lab, a learning toolkit layered on top of the Isaac Sim simulation framework, as well as deployment on Jetson boards, with a demo shown on the Orin Nano. In 2025, Isaac Gr00T N models were added to LeRobot for pretraining, evaluation and control of real robots. At CES in early 2026, NVIDIA demonstrated its DGX Spark platform working with Reachy Mini, the robot from Pollen Robotics, the Bordeaux-based company Hugging Face acquired in April 2025. In that demo, Nemotron 3 Nano and Nemotron Nano 2 VL handled reasoning and vision respectively. One of the latest integrations, in July 2026, involved Isaac Teleop, NVIDIA’s robotic data-collection framework.

The two companies have also worked together on open science initiatives. This summer saw the launch of the Open Secure AI Alliance, an NVIDIA-led effort in which Hugging Face is involved. They also contributed to StarCoder2, a code-model family that emerged in early 2024 through the community-driven BigCode initiative led by ServiceNow and Hugging Face. NVIDIA trained a 15B model using its NeMo framework, while ServiceNow trained a 3B model and Hugging Face a 7B model.

The acquisition therefore formalizes a relationship that was already well established across cloud infrastructure, robotics stacks and open-source AI development.

Entre-temps (mars 2024), Hugging Face avait lancé Train on DGX Cloud.
