The French defence procurement agency DGA has selected Airbus Cybersecurity to supply the Ministry of the Armed Forces’ cybersecurity gateways under the Paracom programme. The 25-year contract covers the full lifecycle of the systems, including design, production and operational maintenance.
Airbus is often associated with aviation, but the group also has a significant cybersecurity business. In this case, it will be responsible for protecting sensitive data exchanges within the French military through these secure gateways, which are intended to strengthen the confidentiality and resilience of defence communications.
The long duration of the agreement underscores the strategic nature of the programme and the need for sustained support over decades, rather than a one-off equipment delivery.
