SK Group and Nvidia have announced a broad AI partnership worth more than $500 billion, centered on two strategic pillars: the construction of AI data centers in South Korea by SK Telecom, and a long-term collaboration between SK hynix and Nvidia on the development and supply of next-generation HBM memory.
The agreement deepens ties between the Korean conglomerate and the US chipmaker at a time when demand for AI infrastructure continues to surge. On the telecom side, SK Telecom will build AI data centers in South Korea, reinforcing the country’s position in the global AI buildout. On the semiconductor side, SK hynix will work with Nvidia over the long term to advance high-bandwidth memory, a critical component for AI accelerators and systems.
The scale of the deal underscores how central memory, networking, and data-center capacity have become to the AI economy. By combining SK Group’s infrastructure and memory expertise with Nvidia’s dominant position in AI chips, the partnership is designed to support the next wave of AI deployment and hardware development.
